After a Christmas and January spent in quiet introspection and loud rehearsing, Moogieman and The Masochists played their first gig of the decade on Friday to a packed Klub Kakofanney at the Wheatsheaf.
With the help of our friends in the headline act Mandrake Handshake we managed to put together a video of the opening number, Journey To The East, in case you didn’t manage to get along.
You can check out the new Moogieman And The Masochists promo video on the Moogieman YouTube channel. The new video includes edits of live footage of Provia, Ektachrome and Mister Curator cut with the music video to I Left My Camera On The Moon and photos by Cristina Camilla Px.
If you’ve been itching to see Moogieman And The Masochists play live but haven’t had the opportunity then here’s some good news: A new playlist of live videos has gone up on the Moogieman YouTube channel.
Featured videos include performances of Provia and Ektachrome recorded at Moogie Studios, and 44 Sunsets (one of Nightshift Magazine’s top tracks of 2017) played at the Truck Store.
Is it when all the tracks have been laid down and mixed? When it’s mastered? When the CDs (or vinyl if you’re posh) are pressed? When the launch is set? The Moogiemedia team can at least say we have reached the beginning of the end, with the all the songs tracked and mixed. The mixes are being reviewed and there will be some minor adjustments but we’ll hopefully be able to announce a launch gig soon.
In the meantime here is some footage of the final recordings made for the album – some of the more experimental tracks
