Cameras on the Moon

Moogiemedia is proud to announce the release of a new video. The track, I Left My Camera On The Moon features on the All Will Be Well Records sampler: Bloom vol. 2 and will also appear on the forthcoming Moogieman album Girls And Film.

The song is inspired by the experience of Eugene Cernan who left his camera on the lunar surface as part of NASA’s Apollo 17 mission – the last to visit the moon. Cameras were generally left behind to reduce takeoff weight and allow more Moon rocks to be taken back to Earth but in this instance it was hoped that a subsequent mission would retrieve it. or at least the film.

The video uses NASA footage from the Apollo 15 mission, which was the first of three J missions – long stays on the Moon of several days, which allowed extensive exploration using the Lunar Roving Vehicle.
